We keep the group intentionally small so everyone has the opportunity to contribute, ask questions and work through the issues that matter to them.
Meet Your Hosts
Gordon Stone,
Gordon has operated in the agri-business sector since 1991. He has exceptional skills in Getting His Clients Clear On:
- Their Business Goals and End-Game
- Their Strategy – of how they’re going to get from … Where They Are NOW … To Where THEY WANT To BE
- In other words, helping them to define their Road-Map … of their Journey Forwards.
He is a Master Facilitator – facilitating the open-conversations necessary to help clients work through these thorny issues. He helps them break complex, confronting concepts and even inter-personal or family uncertainties, into bite-sized chunks. This helps clients, business partners, family members and business program group members work things through bit-by-bit.
Gordon shines in business-group settings where group members of like-minded people, can bounce ideas off him, his team and other group members so even complex concepts can become manageable and clear for clients to work through and gain clarity, resolution and confidence on their steps forwards.
Kim Sypher,
With over two decades of experience running the operations and administration of a successful mixed farming and organic grazing enterprise in Central Queensland, Kim brings practical, grounded knowledge to the business of farming. As the former Office Manager of this large farming enterprise and now with her financial controller expertise across a number of clients, she has developed and implemented systems that ensure financial clarity, compliance, and effective people management, while keeping one eye firmly on long-term strategy.
Kim’s financial expertise is a cornerstone of her work. She has hands-on experience managing cash flow, payroll, budgeting, profit and loss reporting, and liaising directly with banks, accountants, and insurers. Her ability to translate operational data into meaningful financial insights enables businesses to make more informed, confident decisions.
Whether it’s building annual farm budgets, reviewing monthly actuals, or preparing for lender and ATO reporting, Kim understands the importance of accurate, timely information in driving profitability.
Ted Parish,
With over 30 years of experience in the Australian agriculture sector, including more than a decade in senior management roles, Ted Parish brings a wealth of practical and strategic expertise to his work with ABDI.
His background spans livestock marketing, government, and agribusiness, holding leadership positions with Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA), Agriculture Asset Management Investment Group (AAMIG), and across various public service portfolios, including Treasury, Premier and Cabinet and Agriculture.
A skilled communicator and experienced project manager, Ted specialises in work health and safety, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and driving the adoption of R&D across the meat, livestock, advisor and other agri-sectors.
He is known for delivering results, building strong partnerships, and his deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing modern agribusinesses; including the interface with government and industry organisations.

“Every fortnight, I look forward to catching up with my group of like-minded advisers as we work through today’s and tomorrow’s business issues.”
Michael McMahon - Abbotsleigh Citrus
The face-to-face meetings have been excellent – as I can interact with other like-minded people in agriculture who face similar challenges. The program is thought provoking and has delivered clear key take-home messages that I can and have put into action – and I can see will make a huge difference to our future. Thanks Gordon! .
Megan King, partner King Cattle Company and Hartwig & Bliss Livestock & Property Sales
"We are thrilled to be back working with Gordon and the ABDI Team as we take our businesses to another level. While my husband Hayden is very focused on clarifying and implementing our goals, I'm keen for a refresher on ‘managing the business side of things’. Our initial strategy sessions are reminding us about refining the business best practices we learned during the CEO Mentoring Program. (I've just been reminded about Highest Dollar Productive Zone and divisionalising the business). We're both focussed on maximising the potential of our livestock agency business partnership, and we feel that refreshing these principles is going to help us streamline and fortify our approach to achieving this."
