Having worked closely with producers, advisors, researchers, and industry leaders throughout Australia and internationally, Philip brings a practical understanding of the challenges facing modern agri-businesses â from growth and leadership to industry change and long-term sustainability.
Philipâs experience in business strategy, stakeholder engagement, innovation, and large-scale project leadership adds valuable real-world insight and perspective to Boardroom discussions and decision-making.
Ted Parish,
With over 30 years of experience in the Australian agriculture sector, including more than a decade in senior management roles, Ted Parish brings a wealth of practical and strategic expertise to his work with ABDI.
His background spans livestock marketing, government, and agribusiness, holding leadership positions with Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA), Agriculture Asset Management Investment Group (AAMIG), and across various public service portfolios, including Treasury, Premier and Cabinet and Agriculture.
A skilled communicator and experienced project manager, Ted specialises in work health and safety, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and driving the adoption of R&D across the meat, livestock, advisor and other agri-sectors.
He is known for delivering results, building strong partnerships, and his deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing modern agribusinesses; including the interface with government and industry organisations.
Kim Sypher,
With over two decades of experience running the operations and administration of a successful mixed farming and organic grazing enterprise in Central Queensland, Kim brings practical, grounded knowledge to the business of farming. As the former Office Manager of this large farming enterprise and now with her financial controller expertise across a number of clients, she has developed and implemented systems that ensure financial clarity, compliance, and effective people management, while keeping one eye firmly on long-term strategy.
Kimâs financial expertise is a cornerstone of her work. She has hands-on experience managing cash flow, payroll, budgeting, profit and loss reporting, and liaising directly with banks, accountants, and insurers. Her ability to translate operational data into meaningful financial insights enables businesses to make more informed, confident decisions.
Whether itâs building annual farm budgets, reviewing monthly actuals, or preparing for lender and ATO reporting, Kim understands the importance of accurate, timely information in driving profitability.
