Access to Markets - Challenging the Traditional Cotton Commodity Supply Chain (Value Chain) Model

Often we refer to 'the market' as though it's a homogeneous and consistent place, where merchants seek out and buy our fibre

And often we hear ourselves and others talk about ‘being stuck in a commodity market’ where “we have to take the price that’s going today” resulting in being a "price taker" not a "price setter".

In this webinar we will be exploring  what we call “The Value Chain” to better understand what goes on.

We’ll also be drawing on the experiences in, and expertise of, Rebecca Lindert (former cotton grower and cotton supply chain expert) to examine how you can start to take control of, and add value to your cotton bales; once you understand how the supply chain works.

The Key Point is this: It’s always possible to Add Value and Create More Income.

Understanding the Value Chain

However it’s not without risk.

And generally it takes skill, application, time and money.

Some people are up for that – others less so.

That’s why it’s important to understand ‘what you’re up for‘.
